Glossary of Terms
Installation
– The cost of getting a boat lift attached to your dock. (i.e. additional, call for details, included)
Slip width
– The width of which each boat lift must be assembled to fit a particular boat slip left to right (i.e. 12’ or 10’)
Mechanism
– the length of the structure and guage of material holding the boat lift level front to back THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF HOLDING YOUR BOAT LEVEL
Control arm
– number of arms, the measurement of each arm, and the type of material used to build the arm (i.e. six arm @ 5’ x 2 1/2” tubing, or four arm @ 5’ sheet metal)
Setup
– The type of boat that the lift will fit and the way in which the lift fits in your dock (i.e. V-bottom, pull-in only or tritoon or cruiser, back-in)
